Hello, i have troubles with '99 explorer rear suspension, one is equipped with air suspension. One shock is stiff so i can surpress it only with jack, another one can be stiffed with hands.
So i have some question about it:
1.Which one of them has to be replaced? Probalbly I am going to change both of them, but what is the right behavior for them?
2.Where can i find replacement for the air shocks, i don't want to dispose from air system because with system turned off rear end goes pretty low.
Key problem where to find the shocks that will be installed bolt on and work as intended. As I see some online offers like Monroe shocks - they are just air shocks designed as be universal cross auto air shocks with just modified to car's geometrical parameters. Or am I get it wrong? And Monroe MA776 will fit bolt on and work like a factory set up? Where to find OEM design air shocks? Of course I'am looking for only online options. Local Ford dealers never used to have official experience with generation of Explorer.
