I have an Audiovox Prestige alarm/remote start system in my 1999 Explorer with keyless entry. The lock pulse from the alarm is programmed to a 1 second pulse, which is the shortest lock pulse setting that can be programmed.
The issue I'm having is that when I lock the doors using the alarm keychain, the lock motors repeatedly cycle during the 1 second pulse. The lock motors do the same thing if I hold down the lock switch for 1 second as well.
I tried bypassing one of the lock relays, and they did the same thing when I kept the bypass jumper in place for 1 second.
Is there any way to correct this? Or is this normal for the lock motors on this vehicle to do this if you keep them energized?
