2000 Mountaineer
Hello to everyone - a new member here with a 2000 Mountaineer 5.0. Had a wonderful ride home tonight - cruising down Interstate 95 here in Mass. when bang - felt like the serpentine belt broke. I was able to get off the highway safely and when I opened the hood, the upper idler pulley on the ac bracket was missing. I found it sitting next to the water pump with the bearing wiped out and the mounting bolt missing - it appears the bolt got loose and took out the pulley. My question - I have the pulley so I know it is the 90mm dia one - what other parts are missing? - is the mounting bolt a dealer item? Is there a spacer or adapter to fit the bearing bore on the idler? Any info would be helpful in chasing down these parts - thanks
