2.9 V6 down to a 2.3 4 Cyl

I've got an '89 XLT that has had two different 2.9s in it, both had valve problems, now I'd just like to get it going again and just get a 2.3 for cheap. Can you guys let me know what it would take? Mainly just on the mount aspect of it, but also if there are other parts I'd need besides wiring harness.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Prolly the computer, wiring harness, motor and tranny mounts, shift linkages, floorplate, boots, intake, exhaust, etc. Personally I'd get another 2.9 or upgrade to a 4.0 if you're going to be re-wiring etc.
