Ok, this may not be that big of a deal, but I thought I might post this for other '01 owners. Today I successfully put a 2" lift on my '01 Sport. I purchased and add-a-leaf kit from Summit(EXP-13120). This is the short one, the long one won't work because of the factory installed keeper on the front end of the spring. This install took me about 2 hours and then 15 minutes to do the torsion twist. I gained only 1.75" in the front with the bars twisted 100%. I have code D torsion bars and leafs and that's all I could get out of the bars after settling. I did get 2" with the leaf kit after settling. They were very easy to install and well worth the money!

What you will gain from this lift other than an average 2"? It will ride like a TRUCK. The suspension was horribly sloppy and I hated it. The leaf kit almost completely removes all rear sag during acceleration and towing. I know, I tested it. The rear wheel bounce is gone and it barely nose dives on braking. It also eliminated my sport's ability to teeter totterDead Link Removed after going over elevated R/R tracks or and rolling bumbs for that matter. I am not sure how to exlpain it, but it's gone.Dead Link Removed

I was so excited when it was done and really excited after I drove it. Now I am up there with the Expeditions.;) Well, maybe not that high, but it feels like it. Now I have room for my 32's and I can't wait.

All this for $34, couldn't ask for more.

Oh ya, $2 for grease. :)

Yes, I will have pictures soon. Since I don't have a digicam, I have to do it the old fashioned way.

BTW, definitely need better shocks! ;)
