I am in the process of chaning out my plug wires. (I changed my plugs about 5k ago) Now, my #2 plug wire won't come off my plug. What is the best agle to get to the thing? BTW I yanked the wire out of the boot trying to get it off.

Did you use a spark-plug wire remover? (they do exist) I think that handy tool is what you need to get it out.....but since your replacing it anyway maybe you should just use some vise grips, dont grab the head of the spark plug while your doing it.

yeah, if its ripped just yank harder on the boot..... vicegrips and channellocks work wonders :)

Thanks guys I finnaly got it with Channel locks. MAN I can't belive the difference. I didn't think there would be any. I only have 71k by the odometer (73 maybe 74 in reality due to my bigger tires) I bought the Bosch plug wires at AZ an MAN I can't belive it!

What you may want to do is put a goober of dielectric grease inside the boot of the new wires (both ends). It will seal out crud, water, and make it a lot easier to get them off next time

That is actually what I did 5k ago when I changed just teh plugs. But these knew ones came with a "goober" of dielectric grease (aka silicone) already on them.
Thank you though. Sometimes this stuff just happens.

No offense, but if you put silicone in the boots, it's no wonder they don't want to come off. For openers, dielectric grease, aka tune up grease, wont turn into a glue like substance when it cures due to the fact that it's grease and not rubber. I hope you just mispoke.

 ¿HUH? I did put the tune up grease, MY GOD I WORK AT AUTO ZONE and I put it on last time when I had taken them off. This one CAME PRE GREASED and that wasn't necessary but anyways, when I changed my plugs i greased my boots last time. As well, It still got stuck on there.
