So I screwed up pretty bad. I have a 2000 XLS OHV 4.0 with 178,000 miles and a fairly bad oil leak. I am driving tomorrow to pick up my (new to me) 1999 XLT 5.0 AWD. I was quickly running through a pre-trip check and saw that the oil was at the "add" hole on the dipstick. I grabbed what I thought was a jug of 5W-30, but it was anti-freeze. I put about a quart in and set the bottle down and saw the label. Just then the sky opened up and it rained for about 5 hours. The only place I have to work on my car is the parking lane on my street. But by the time the rain stopped, it was dark. This morning, knowing I had to get some other things done (work and eye doctor appointment), I finished up at 3:30 and had to get the car dolly by 5 pm. My choices were pretty slim. I wasn't going on a 350 mile trip with coolant and oil in my engine, so I took it to Jiffy Lube. The truck drove about 2 miles between my home and the Jiffy Lube.

Question 1 is do you think any damage was done with that short drive? It ran fine both on the way to Jiffy Lube and after.

As I said, I have a "new" Explorer coming into the mix. Through my many previous Explorers I've owned, I have a full set of (manual) front and back seats. This new truck has power seats, but a huge burn hole (I assume from a cigarette) in the drivers side seat bottom.

Question 2 - Does anyone know how to switch the tracks in power seats and manual seats? Is that even possible?

EDIT - This seems like a very weird color combo. Grey interior and gold exterior?

Thanks.

I wouldn't sweat the added coolant in the oil. You did what you had to do to get the oil changed with minimal driving. Imagine if you hadn't noticed the mistake?

As for the seat tracks...they are held to the bottom of the seats by 4 bolts. Easily swapped out once the seat is out of the vehicle.
