1st problem:
My dad has a 1994 f150 with the 5.0 v8. Whenever you crank it the rpms and the idle fluctuate up and down. It is a real pain when you are trying to get out of a parking spot b/c turning the wheels sharply makes it worse and it usually cuts off.
It will even do it while in park.
I was told that this is a fairly common issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
2nd problem:
Hello again, my dad has a 1994 f150 and it has a problem with the brake lights, I believe they are called running lights? The lights that are suppose come on in the rear when you turn the headlights on do not comeon unless you turn the headlight switch fully to the left and that activates the dome light. That is the only way you can get the rear lights to come om when you turn the headlights on.
I put a new headlight switch in but that didn't work. I called the Ford dealership and they told me to check behind the steering wheel and that there is a wiring harness there that comes loose sometimes if you use the tilt alot. I checked that and the problem still persist.
The only electrical work that has ever been done that we know of is they guy my dad bought it from stuck a Pioneer cd player in the truck. I oulled it out to check his wiring and it appeared to be correct.
Anyone have any suggestions?
