2000 F150 column shifter broke... easy to replace?

In my g/f's Mom's 2000 F150, part #3 in the diagram below snapped off, and now just hangs via the wiring inside. Is replacement as easy as outlined here...?

You mean the Overdrive/Cancel switch. The end with the button on the end of it. If you unscrew the steering column trim covers and remove the ignition key cylinder, you can remove the shifter handle.

Using a pair of side cutters or dikes, pull the pin out from the top and unplug the wiring connector for the OD switch. Then, reinstall the lever and the pin. Make sure to reconnect the harness connector.
