Ok folks here is my problem, while rebuilding my engine I put the left front timing chain gear on the jackshaft backwards and messed up a cam and 3 valves. In the left head and I fixed that problem. The engine ran about 120 miles with no problem. Then the cam slipped time at the front left cam for the second time. What have I missed or done wrong?

Could this be a torque to yield problem older block new head and cam

Yeah, if you ate reusing TTY bolts then you aren't getting the proper torque and running a big risk of breaking those bolts off in the part (ususaly not good places to deal with broken bolt removal). But if it is moving around as described, one of those gears is loose and slipping.

Does the left camshaft to gear use torque to yield

No, the camshaft bolts should be OK. Note that the right side is left-hand thread.

The crankshaft damper bolt IS torque to yield. As I recall, the jackshaft bolts (both ends) may also be TTY.
