Well I have 240K on my current injectors and thought I might try this other set I have sitting around. The motor is out of a 2000 X that I back fitted to go into my 91. The injectors came off that motor. Well put in the newer injectors and now my truck won't start. They have the same connector so I though it would be ok. Does this seem right? Any ideas?

Anybody?????

So you put a 2000 OHV in your truck? Ok. I don't know what you replaced and what you didn't replace, so that makes it hard to say. The 2000 setup is OBD-II, whereas the 1991's setup is OBD-I. Did you use the 2000's computer and wiring when you did the swap?

As I said in my first post, I back fitted the motor meaning I moved all the sensors and harness from the 91 block and put them on the 2000 longblock. The motor is esentialy the same with a few differences in head casting(Transparent), #of bolts on the flywheel(Kept the 2000 FW), upper intake, exhaust(EGR?) and the oil pan needs the port for the low oil sensor. The motor has been in my truck for 2 years now I think. I would have thought those injectors would work. The preasure at the rail is at 40psi and it sputtered a little the first time I cranked it with the new injectors because gas had leaked down when I pulled the fuel rail off. The injectors are GP Sorenson but the old ones are Bosch. I don't know if that matters.

Well I think I have figured it out. While searching another site for an unrelated topic I stumbled across a post talking about high and low impedence injectors. If it is correct, then most 1st gen trucks have high impedence injectors and the newer trucks have a low impedence type. So no worky
