i am working on a 2000 ranger that was imported from the us into canada. i am not sure if the us has mandated all vehicles now to have day time running lights, but it canada, around the early 90's it was. this truck dose not have them from factory, but it looks like it has the plug. my question is, can anyone tell me if i find a DRL module and plug it in, will it work, or will i have to buy a aftermarket module.

It might be worth a try at least. You find any ford wiring diagrams that show it? Guessing its just another relay or two.

ADAM! well, i thought i had the correct module. the one i have has a long but skinny plug in. the one that is needed is smaller. however, in the past (with explorers) we have been able to hot wire them so the DRL's come on. may have to give it a shot.

Check your PM. Diagrams have been sent. ;)

You are welcome. Let me know if you need anything else like connector pinouts, wire color coding, etc.
