Hi so im new and i joined the forums to try and get some help for my moms explorer sport and this one is sort of my fault.

I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals as they were caked completely with blue acid material and the alarm has reactivated itself and i need it disabled as i have to press the button near the OBD2 port to start it and when you need to crawl in through the trunk to unlock the doors and it takes 2-3 attempts to start it that only adds to my problems.... And it isnt the best when they only way to stop it is to start it which can be fun sometimes. If anyone could tell me how to fix this that would be great. We turned it off after this happened once before but i forget how we did it i think it was something to do with pushing the red light button that flashes when the car is locked. Sorry if this is in the wrong area also.

I've heard of this happening with a different model vehicle, a Lincoln or something and the battery was left disconnected for 24 hours and it fixed the problem.
