2001 More stable or just my imagination?

Compared to my old 95, my new 2001 seems to perform a lot better. Around curves i don;t have to slow down as much as i did with the 95 and the 2001 doesn;t seem to suffer from body lean. Now the only differnces are the tires..the old oe had P265/70R16 Michelins and the new one has stock P255/70 Goodyear wrangler RT/S. I would have expected the michelins to perform far better. I don;t know what ford did to the suspension between 95 and 2001, but whatever they did it helped!
Anyone else notice this?

It might be the newer shocks and the updated stabilizer bars.

yeah, i agree with jonny. Your overlooking the fact that everything is pretty much new.

Well, I even had new edelbrocks on my old 95...the only difference I can think of is the front sway bar

I Love the way my 2001 handled stock, I mean it WAS fast and great around corners. Now I'm like 12" higher, and no front sway bar. Lets just say I take it easy now, and let people check out the X when I drive by and take corners. I guess it was worth the sacrafice.
