2001 axle in my 1991
After i get my truck back from the tranny shop (getting a complete rebuild for $1200) im going to be replacing my rear axle with a junkyard one. my pinion bearing is completely shot and my ring gear is showing signs of wear, and im tired of drum breaks. An axle out of a 2002 explorer sport is only $350 at a local junkyard in fine condition. I was wondering how hard it will be for me to do the swap, and if the break lines from my drum breaks will thread right into the calipers on the newer axle. Ahanks for info!
