I have a fairly random question. This morning I got in my car to go to work and noticed something odd. I looked up at the display for the temperature and between the temperature and the direction it said "CAL".

54 F CAL NE (example of what it looked like)

Last night when I was coming home it did not say "CAL", just listed the temperature and the direction. I did not press any buttons or anything so not sure why this popped up.

What does this mean? Also, why would it have just popped up randomly? I am not worried about it as I am pretty sure it doesn't mean something is wrong just have never seen it so was curious.

It's asking for help

Occasionally the compass will lose its way and need to be recalibrated just like when it was new. There was a procedure in the owners manual that involved driving in circles while pressing a button on the message center. You might have to look in the manual for the correct steps.
