I have a 2002 explorer. The blower had not been working on low then the other day I turned it on high and it died. I replaced the resistor behind the glovebox, still nothing. Fuse looks good. Any ideas??

Sounds like the fan motor itself, when a motor fails it tends to require more and more current to operate.

It had been running fine. I did loose the "low" fan speed about a year ago. Is there any way to test the blower without taking it out?

Check for power from the switch to the resister, if present, bypass the resister to make sure it is working, If there is no power there, check the relay and the switch.
