I was driving on a highway up a hill and all of the sudden I couldn't maintain the 55 speed limit. I turned around to head home and I quickly was unable to stay above 30 (Id say this was maybe 2 minutes after not being able to go above 55) and then very quickly after that the car lost all power and I had to pull over. Car wouldnt start and I towed it home. No smoke or funny noises or anything like that occurred.

Had a friend scan it and got the codes P1450 | P0401

Noticed a melted DPFE sensor, replaced that and the whole EGR valve, still nothing.

Suspected fuel pressure, but getting 60 PSI while cranking.

Replaced crankshaft position sensor

Decided to look at airflow as the codes suggested.
The car actually starts and idles very roughly when the MAF sensor is removed, it doesnt sound good, like its about to stall, but it starts. Very low RPM and idling. Cleaned MAF, nothing. Replaced MAF, nothing.

But that new DPFE sensor I replaced on day 1 is already starting to melt on the bottom just from the little idling the car has been through...

Started looking towards exhaust backpressure. Removed the upstream O2 sensor on the drivers side, still nothing, just a louder nothing.

What next? I checked for spark on day 1, I am going to recheck tomorrow morning, but I dont think that would even explain the melting of the new DPFE sensor.

Could a cat be so clogged or damaged that she wont even turn over? And could it also still be so bad that removing an o2 sensor wouldn't relieve enough pressure? I was thinking about removing the cat entirely to see if that helps. But not even sure if that makes sense at this point.

Break the exhaust at the manifolds and see if it runs. Not sure if run it too long that way. My first thought is bad cats.
