Hello all,
I own a 2002 Ford Explorer (ignore my screen name), 140k, 4.0L, V6 which has a rattling sound under the hood. The rattling is audible when it first starts, and doesn't go away with time. The only thing that does change is that the rattling intensifies as the RPMs increase.
The sound was much worse at a certain point in the past, but after a new fuel pump was installed, and the oil was changed, the rattling decreased greatly in volume. However, it is still present, and was not there when I purchased the vehicle a number of years ago.
Any ideas, thoughts, etc.?
