The fuel reset light is on and the truck won't start.
I checked the cutoff switch by the right side kick panel, the button was NOT up. So I whacked it good with a screwdriver handle and it popped up. Pushed it back down - the Fuel Reset light is still on, still won't start.
Co-incidentally I just replaced the brake booster and had the ABS wiring plug and the large square plug above the engine disconnected. I forgot to reconnect the large plug before reconnecting the battery and attempting to start it. No cranking with the big connector unplugged, just... nothing.
So I disconnected the battery, connected the big plug then reconnected the battery. Will crank but will not start since.
Prior to all this, it had somehow forgotten the 3rd programmed ignition key. So I used FORscan with my cheap old ELM 327 clone to erase and program two keys (second time, already had to do this with a replacement PCM that has the final software update) then used them with the regular procedure to program a 3rd.
I also used FORscan to delete all the trouble codes, except P1000.
Any ideas why the fuel reset is on and it's ignoring the pump cutoff switch NOT being popped up?
