- 2003 Explorer XLT
I searched before posting, but couldn't quite find what I was looking for. I have a 2003 Explorer XLT (6 cyl) that had the AC compressor replace about 18 months ago, and the rest of the AC system checked at that time. It worked fine until last month. Now, when the AC button is on, the clutch doesn't make any sound, and it doesn't appear to react at all.
I have a pressure gauge on a can of R134a that can be used to test pressure, and with the engine idling and the AC on MAX, I am up the red area on the pressure gauge (around 120).
My Chilton manual doesn't have much on AC units. Just not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?
