I have a 2003 explorer v8 all wheel drive. I am getting noise from the front left like there is a bad bearing. replaced hub assembly but no improvement. tie rods on upper control arm are shot, but I cant imagine it making the noise. when I put it in neutral and coast noise is still there. get a clicking noise on top of the grinding noise at times. also, can anyone tell me the possibility of converting it to 4 wheel drive? thanks for any help

Not sure on the difference mine has the auto high and low 4x4 buttons on the dash my brown wire was right under the dash on the passenger side all I did was cut it and added t toggle switch worked great now my front end doesn't try to engage when the rear tires spin. Lol
