I just bought this today and need a wee bit of advice. My driver's seat has the basic up/down and front/back electric seat switch. The issue is that it doesn't go back far enough. I'm 5'10" and feel like I'm hovering over the steering wheel. Is there a way to fix this issue? At this point, I'm ready to remove the seat completely and just putting it where I want it with welding.

I'm 6 feet and I have plenty of room. There should be nothing to fix -- unless it's been replaced,, modified, in an accident, or something is blocking the track and won't allow the seat to go back. You may have to remove the seat just to figure it out.

Thanks! I'll check it out this afternoon. Right now I'm doing an oil change and some front end work. Next up, rotors and pads need replacing soon.

Yeah with age certain things stop working, or at least stop working well. My front/back driver seat motor only intermittently works now, but it's just me driving it...so it stays in only one position now.

I used to use the easy exit feature, where the seat went all the way back automatically to let me out easier, but that eventually stopped working too. Me and Mounty are aging together.

Yeah, I can understand that. I'll be the only driver also. I keep messing with it and now just one side will move back and forth about an inch so now it just looks like she's trying to shimmy lol. When you look closely underneath the seat you can see where just one side is turning. This is beyond my know how to fix so I've got a mechanic looking at it tomorrow after a few things with the front end are replaced. The person that owned her did not take very good care of her. I'm starting out with about $900 in repairs and maintenance and that's before new tires. The ones on there are bald. I've also got to find a matching rim since there's no full size spare. Once I get all that taken care of, I think she'll be a great vehicle for daily use and for camping and fishing trips with my dad.

Sounds good. One project at a time.
