2003 Ford Explorer Sport
Hello! New to the forum obviously...I recently purchased a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and honestly, it's been nothing but trouble since.

Here's some background info...before I purchased the truck, I had the dealership fix some issues. The stereo didn't work, none of the dome lights worked and the wipers wouldn't work either.

They "fixed" the problems I listed and the truck was doing fine for a few days...running great! I went to start it in the morning before work and nothing. The battery was completely drained. I originally thought that maybe I didn't close a door all the way. I got it jumped, took it to work and the same issue happened after work...the battery was dead.

Got it home and then had to jump it again in the morning before taking it in to get a new battery. Got the new battery on Tuesday and it's been doing fine since. However...

Tonight I got home and noticed that my anti theft light was flashing while I was driving it and while the ignition was off. Also, when the drivers door is open the door dings as if the key is in the ignition, but it's not. I don't know if that's normal or not??? That's been happening since they "fixed" the issues that I complained about.

On top of that, I also noticed that the lights in my door panel (unlock/lock, roll window down) stay on when the truck is off and locked. Is that actually the cause of my battery being drained? How do I fix this problem?

I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, so the more thorough the explanation, the better.

Thanks in advance!!!
