2003 Mountaineer Exhaust

2003 mountaineer with a v8. I want a new exhaust probly the magnaflow {http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/73A3570A0A0A2606777.aspx}

Does anyone have this exhaust. How loud is it idoling, going slow, and flooring it.

magnaflow is awesome, mine has a lot of mods but sounds basicaly the same as a basic magnaflow catback...might try ebay for a better price, its where i got mine!

Noooo Flowmaster 40 or bust. I had a 93 Ranger with a 90hp 4 banger and it sounded as meaty as the 4.0

while that may be true, he will see More performance from the magnaflow muffler, as it is a straighthrough system. Also the magnaflow is reletivly quiet at idle, and CRAZY loud at 6000 on the tach...i guess its all up to what he likes.

That's true, I never noticed a power gain from the 40.

There's the magnaflow and the MAC. The great thing is that you can just have a muffler shop set you up with a cutom cat back build around the muffler you want and the piping you want.

MAC exhausts are usually in between flowmaster and magnaflow as far as sound.

quieter then flowmaster 40 series, usually. I know the MAC Cat Back for the 5.0 X is quieter then the flowmaster 40 series, but louder then the magnaflow.
