Hi,
I really hope that someone might be able to help me... I drive a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.5 TD 4x4, and after 155000 trouble free km's it has now become time to do some more serious maintenance - including replacing the 4 cv boots on the front axle and the two oil seals where the driveshafts enter the front diff.
After a huge effort I finally managed to obtain "generic", but good quality cv boots. Why didn't I buy from Ford? Because they charge R800 per boot! Nobody could give me spec's on the boots and I had to take detailed measurements and search for parts that most closely resemble what I need. Now I just hope that they will fit once I have done the disassembly...
The oil seals are another matter - I will have to strip the assembly before I can measure a oil seal. Ford does'nt have (or are refusing to give me) spec's, and none of the diff / gearbox places that I visited were very helpful - they all just claim that they order from the agents.
Is there anyone out there who could assist with part numbers, part spec's or even your own drawings and measurements on any of the items listed - cv boots or oil seals. Any help or guidance will be much appreciated.
