2004 explorer 4.0 vin "K" 113,600 miles. analy maintained and runs excellent. never given me a problem other that your typical wear items. just finished changing the fuel filter on my truck and did a good look around for leaks etc. and notice the driver side rear outside corner is seeping some fluid (looks to be brownish like oil and is freshly damp. also noticed the valve covers are leaking a seeping bit but that leak from what i could see was not in contact with this part of the head gasket. is it possible that it is not a head gasket problem and i am over looking something? it uses about a 1/2 -1 quart of coolant in a years time. pressure tester the coolant today it never dropped a tiny bit for the 45 mins it was on the tester and i saw no leaks. ive never been able to see a leak or any residue of a leak. has anyone else had a problem like this? any help would be great. i drive an hour to and from work 7 days a week so this thing cant blow up on me, wallet cant handle it.
