2004 PCM. Affordable place to buy one?

Ok so apparently when I installed my battery wrong it fried the part that controls the 4x4 switch. 04-05's don't have a 4x4 module? Which I found out as well.

So where is a good place to start looking for a new un-programmed PCM? Will I buy able to buy one, install it, and take it to ford to get programmed?

Thanks for any info. I'm still kinda lost on why the 4x4 is integrated into the PCM like that.

I read on this forum of one member buying one from autozone. And bring them your bin you can order it programmed. Also a Boneyard can get you a used one just bring the bin wherever you go. Both options were considerably less expensive than the dealer.
