2004 ST, timing chain broke/bad,worth buying?

It's out there for $1250, Phoenix car no rust, don't know mileage yet. Is this worth the fix? Or a new motor? Is a 4.0, of course.

Nope, unless you have an engine already with good timing sets and you know the transmission is good.

No. No worth buying with a blown engine. Scrap or part-out value only. The SOHC engines are very expensive as rebuilt's and used engines are very unreliable unless all the TC components are replaced. In GA rust-free examples with blow engines are priced around $600-$700 on CL and don't sell.
