Hey Everyone. i am sure this has been beaten to death but my 2005 Explorer sport trac has combustion gases in the coolant, vehicle will run and drive with does not over heat according to scanner as i check data stream as i am driving not confident the dummy gauge is always 100 % accurate under heavy acceleration the temp needle goes to hot the water in the reservoir does bubble but not boil with the radiator cap removed it just pushes coolant out. cylinder compression test show starting on drinkers side #1 Cylinder at 110 psi little low in my opinion cylinder # 2 and # 3 both equal at 150 too 160 psi good i think drivers side #4 through #6 are all at 175-180 psi great i think.

Now i am wondering is it a blown head gasket or a cylinder head crack or engine block cracked i guess side note there is no coolant in oil when running not milky at all i am paranoid that it more than gasket or cracked head(s) removed valve covers drinkerside a little milky substance on inside of cover but not much my thoughts is from short drive cycles and colder weather in Canada (Alberta) removed drivers side valve cover it has more milky substance on inside of cover but none sitting on the valleys of either of the heads.

My confusion is what too do i am at the pinnacle of locking cams into place to maintain the timing if i was removing only one head now which do i choose the drivers side or the drinkers side. had a vehicle lean codo then it went to rich bank one O2 sensor became stuck in rich mode swapped out but vehicle runs but every once and a while i do get some white smoke out the tail pipe (gasket failure) i am just trying to figure out which one... my though is it is the drinkers side that has the issue but then i think block..

This is my first post and thread any and all info will help i am at the point where head removal is next but want or need some help to guess or positively say drivers side or drinkers side thank again all.. p.s> DRINKERS SIDE means Passenger side
