2005 Ford Sport Trac XLT How To Take Out Cup-Holders???

Hey guys! The past few days I have been disassembling various pieces of my 2005 ford sport trac xlt to color match them with the exterior base color of my truck. Eventually deciding it would look even better if I could somehow take out the gigantic cup holder assembly next to the radio and in-front of the center console. It looks as if it is snapped in somehow, and may not have any bolts (unless they are located under the plastic mats.) So could anyone provide me with some information on how to take it out? I have tried to just yank the heck out of it, and even tried prying it out with a screwdriver with no luck, so maybe there is something I am missing here. Pictures can be provided if this does not provide enough information!

Possibly helped, I noticed on the picture of the cup holders with no screws is just as simple as grab, pull forward and it comes off. but they showed doing so with the entire cup holder and console removed, hopefully I don't have to do all that, but then again there's little to no room to pull the cup holders forward:/ this might be a lot more work than I thought

sadly this is how my cup holders are, as in one huge piece. so maybe it just all pulls up with some brute force, wish it was a two piece like how your pictures show
