I'm new to the forum. Today I installed a used solenoid pack into my 5r55s due to some codes and online reading. I also did the filter along with it. I disconnected the battery during the install. After I the install I took it for a short drive in shifted good from 1 to 2. slow from 2 to 3 and ok from 3 to 4 and into 5 fine. I kept driving to see if it would get better and it did not get better intact it got worse. 1 to 2 was still fine but it then went 2 to 4th and 4 to 5. Skipping 3rd and from 2 to 4 is a very hard shift. I also noticed the more I drove it the harder it shifted into drive from park. I tired manually putting into the 3rd and my cheap monitor said it was in 2nd. So I am back to where I started. Here are the codes P0745 and P0733. My o/d light flashes and the dic say check transmision. I'm stuck now any help would be greatly appreciated.

No. Was the Solenoid block you installed new or used? Your codes indicate a solenoid failure, which controls working pressure. This may be affecting the shifting, causing the other code, which interprets shafts turning at other than predicted speeds. imp

That's what you get for installing used.

Here is a new one for only $228: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5R55S-5R55W...m-Ford-Explorer-Mountaineer-2002/130650381786

Also note: "The Solenoid should be soaked / submerged in Mercon-V before installation. Any air pockets inside the block can cause a malfunction."

An update I put a new ford solenoid pack in link is below for the part I used. So I took it for a test drive it is doing the same thing and throwing the same codes. Do you guys have any ideas on what it could be.
