2005 Explorer XLT
So I just swapped over my radios in my 2005 Explorer from a base model CD player to the audiophile one with SAT/and the AUX button.

Been trying to research how to wire in a port to plug up to my phone/MP3 player, but I seem to keep running into the same problem, in that I can't seem to find an exact adapter that seems to work. Most places that sell such items either seem to be 2006+ or for last gen models.

Can anyone advise on where to find the correct parts? Or have a link for the best adapter?

Also, is it possible to have it wired to have both satellite and the aux. port usable at the same time?

I'm actually not sure about this. I assume you could jump the feed and wire in your own aux jack with some solder and clever connections. It would tap into the satellite feed.

I don't think I need to solder anything in, the radio itself comes with an AUX button, which I believe is for like DVD players and such, but can be used for a phone or what have you.

I've seen some other posts on the topic, saying that you need a PIE adapter, but I can't seem to find such a thing for a 2005 model. I've seem some people link to models that fit, but most links are dead since 2005 is ancient history in internet terms.
