Just looking...
I'm looking at a 2006 Eddie Bauer with 98,000 miles that has developed a small hole in the manifold. Not heard it running myself. This truck is going cheap so I think it might be worth the investment. Is this manifold thing a repair it or replace it sort of thing? What does it involve? Cost? Labor?

Other than that it needs is a wheel bearing and it is still drivable.

If your talking about an exhaust leak then it is probably a broken exhaust stud (very common). If you talking about a hole in the intake I have seen egr valves melt the plastic intake. I have also seen a technician blow a huge hole in a plastic intake using too much throttle body cleaner.

My understanding is that it is the exhaust manifold. The guy said the truck is driveable and said the engine and transmission work perfectly. If it's the exhaust, what type of fix is involved? Costly?
