I had to replace some intake & smog related connectors/pigtails and a dealer parts guy printed out some info for my ‘06 Explorer 4.0 4x4 Eddie Bauer w/auto trans. Sharing here.

Replacement connectors with wire leads (pigtails) had multiple applications on Fords. All wires were same color so splicing must be done carefully. One Ford doc. goes into much detail for splicing instructions.
The pigtails from AutoZone & O’Reilly were identical to those from Ford dealer but cheaper prices.
