2006 Explorer hole in valve cover —- urgent responses

They just fixed what was broken and kept it moving I bet. Did they pull the oil pan to clean the debris from the pickup?

Yes they pull out all debris from oil pan and small parts of broken tensioner.

As long as it's quiet and runs right I'd call it fixed. Did they pull the right valve cover to check that rear guide?

4thgenMohamad, I'm looking at the same exact problem (hole in left valve cover). I'm in Chicago also and it's still pretty cold here to be doing this repair myself in an unheated garage. Where did you get your car repaired? Can you PM me ? gary ds
