2006 Explorer LTD Outside Temperature

I'm new to this forum. I just purchased a 2006 LTD and don't see the outside temperture readout on the message center as it shows in the manual. Tried scrolling through set-up and see nothing. The manual states "If so equipped". but I find it hard to believe that this car doesn't have the outside temperture when my 96 XLT does. Is it possible that it is not "So Equipped". It calculates the MPG, has a compass and all kinds of trip data.

if you have the electronic HVAC controls, the outside temp 'should be' displayed the same place as the inside HVAC temp setting. there is a small round button that (i think) says "AMB" which should toggle on the outside temp display inside, once you set it, it should remain on each time you start the car.

it will not be displayed in the dash panel with the fuel readouts and such.

Thanks. I do have the Dual HVAC Controls. It's right where you said. Mine is labeled "EXT" and it toggles inside and outside. I guess it was in the manual under hvac but I haven't gotten that far yet in reading everything.
