Brand new 2007 2wd Ranger, 2.3L, regular cab. When I go over a speed bump I hear a distinct "clunk" on the downside of the speed bump. I'm pretty sure I've isolated it to the passenger side front, i.e. if I go over the SB with just the driver's side, it sounds solid. I only hear the clunk when the suspension is rebounding, not compressing. Any ideas? The truck is at the dealer right now and they've had it for a day without accomplishing anything and I'm looking for ideas.

Welcome to this forum! Did they check the shock towers, axle nuts, axles, sway bar, brake caliper bolts, control arms, bushings, bearings, ball joints, U joints, etc? Did you go for a drive with any of their mechanics?

Yep, I took a mechanic on a tour of speed bumps so that he could hear the clunk. They've found a little slop in the right-side suspension and the right wheel bearing was about 1/2 turn loose. Otherwise no major discoveries.

The dealer said they can hear the clunk in a different 2007 truck. I'm surprized that there's no TSB on this as everyone would complain.

TSB's aren't always immediate. Maybe yours is the truck that starts the ball rolling on one!
