2007 eddie bauer - switching to OEM navigation

Hello - new member so please forgive - as I do see a lot of similar discussions on this.. but:

I am considering purchasing the OEM pioneer navigation system for the explorer that fits the 2007 model from someone on ebay that sells these regularly. My wife has an 08 mountaineer and it has the same unit.

My 2007 eddie bauer has the single cd player and no steering wheel radio controls. My dealer is looking into if they would be able to install it - but they have yet to tell me. I just want to see how easy it would be - and if not having the steering wheel controls is going to be a problem (would that have to be added? I could live without it)

Can be done. look around in the 06+ area also. i believe its just a plug and play thing. and then running the nav antenna and mounting it. save the money from having the dealership doing the deck comes out in 5 minutes and you can just plug the new one in.
