2008 4.0 coolant leak in front

I have recently acquired a coolant leak around what looks like the bottom hoses of the radiator.
I bought the car from my dad and he has had this problem a few years back. Is this a common thing with a common fix? The fan runs constantly and the temp guage jumps up and then drops down back to normal operating temp.

I have a 2008 with the 4.0. I have had to replace the radiator in it and I think several others have too. I was able to track my leak to further up the radiator and it was leaking in a random spot in the 'fins' of the radiator. They aren't too hard to replace.

Same thing happened to me where my fan would run at times when I thought it shouldn't and thats what tipped me off that my coolant was low.

Almost fail safe method of pinpointing coolant leaks is using a pressure test kit. Phoenix area shows several auto parts chain stores that have loaner tool programs with a 100% refundable deposit. Save yourself any aggravation and and guessing, call around for availability and you can get the leak repaired the first time. GL

Awesome, thank you I will have to look further into it on my day off but for now just adding coolant.

Pretty common. the disposable rad is replaced on these things every 3 to 5 years or so. The plastic tanks separate. One of the many flaws on these things.
