2009 Explorer - Build Your Own

While Ford's website still lists the 2008 Explorer as the current model, I did find the build your own tool for the 2009 Explorer:

Looks like the Ironman is gone and the XLT Sport returns. Also available is the new Navi systems with Sirius TravelLink. Also looks as if a few options, such as the heated windshield, have disappeared along with a slew of colors.

Colors? What colors? Thats unbelievable. With this reduction in options I look at this as the last generation Explorer as we know it.

That may be so. 2009 could be the last year for Explorer. 2009 is also the last year for the Taurus X (aka Freestyle). Will the next generation Explorer be ready for MY 2010, or does Flex replace Taurus X and Edge replace Explorer until the next gen Ex?
