Folks i've read thru a few posts here but just yesterday my 2010 explorer with 61,000 miles on it started going crazy, i was heading home from work and had the AC on blowing thru the vents at me then all of a sudden they started blowing thru the dash like on defrost and also to the floor then it went back to vents, this was all by themselves within a minute or two, well today it happened again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I had similar experience with my '10 Explorer Sport Trac. The default position for air flow is through the defroster vents, when the system looses sufficient vacuum the air will divert from the front vents to the defroster, when vacuum returns the air returns to the front vents. I fixed mine by replacing the vacuum check valve under the hood near the firewall on the passenger side. The part I used was a "Motorcraft YG360 Vacuum Checking Switch", I bought mine from Amazon. It might be a different part number for a regular Explorer.
