Greetings all,
I haven't posted all that much, but figured I would chuck a message out to the experienced Explorer-Brains around.
We bought our 2011 Limited Explorer back in May of 2022. It was neglected for sure, so I whipped out some good ol' TLC in the form of:
- New Rear toe links (Recall - MCraft)
- New Belt and tensioner (MCraft)
- New struts and sway links (Monroe)
- New PCV (Dorman)
- New O2 sensors (Bosch)
- New Right-side axle shaft (Oops, I broke the damn CV joint) (MCraft)
- New Filters (I've never seen a dirtier air and cabin filter in my life) (STP)
- New Heavy Duty Rotors and Pads
- New tires (Cooper Adventurer)
- New Spark Plugs and Coils (MCraft)
- New Rear camera (didn't work. Now it does) (MCraft)
- New Sunroof motors (Both were shorted out from clogged sunroof drains)
- New media/USB module (Nav didn't work. Now it does) (MCraft)
- New/Used FCIM (Hazards didn't work. Now they do) (MCraft)
- New Windshield cowl (Seals eroded) (MCraft)
- New A-pillar covers (Seals eroded) (Cheap Chinese versions)
- Coolant Flush
- 2x transy fluid changes (MCraft)
UPCOMING:
- Mevotech Lower Front Control Arms, since they're shot to hell and clunk a bit.
- BCM. I have a feeling is corroded to hell from 10 years of water dripping into the driver's floor pan.
It currently has 182,000 on the clock and runs like a champion. Aside from a random ABS failure and Open circuit in the Passenger seat belt pre-tensioner. (I got that one)
Question: Anything else standing out as not done yet, but should be per 180k - 200k?
I've searched around, but not finding any big-picture engine or suspension or otherwise type-of-things. It has the same battery since when we purchased it last year... not sure how old it is. FORSCAN has definitely paid itself in the first 2 days of getting the BT scan tool!

Thanks for your time reading, any recommendations will be appreciated!
Cheers, ~Shaun
