2011 Manual Liftgate Latch Assembly

The sensor in my manual liftgate has malfunctioned. When the liftgate is closed, the Explorer thinks it is still open. Every bump I hit I get the dash notification. There was a service bulletin back in 2011 for this. I found the official part number (7L1Z-7843150-D) but I wanted a cheaper generic. Found the Dorman 940-131 but everywhere I look it says it's only for 2013-2018 model years. The 11 and 12 model years should functionally be the same. Anyone know if it will fit a 2011?

The Dorman part is about $65 with free shipping. Trying to limp my Explorer along for another year, maybe 2 at most.

Just an update for anyone who stumbles on this thread. The Dorman part did indeed work for my 2011 Explorer. Looked like an exact replacement physically.
