Hi all, I have used this forum many of times to fix items on our SUV. However, I have ran into multiple issues for this issue. I have replaced the moonroof motor and tried reprogramming and it just does not do it. I think I may have two bad motors and have ordered another one for the shade. I have tested the switches, fuses and still no luck. Hoping someone has had a similar problem as me. The glass motor was wet due to the vent being left opened in a rain storm. One other odd thing is that the tilt works one touch to open and shut the moonroof, however I have to hold the slide switch both ways in order for it to open or shut. Please help.

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm guessing "it just does not do it." refers to the reprogramming but what is the problem you are having with the moonroof? As for the shade, if you hadn't already ordered a motor for it, I think I would have just left it alone since it is working to a degree. Good luck.
For the moonroof relearn, did you use the procedure outlined here? Moonroof Will Not Open

Hi Peter, yes sorry, "it just does not do it" is referring to the reprogramming and yes that is the procedure I tried. I replaced the glass motor since it was dead and put a new one in. The shade motor does not work either as it stopped shortly after replacing the moonroof motor. With the Tilt working as the slide button should, it just seems like the communication between the two motors (circuit boards) is messed up. Not sure what else to try as there is not a lot left and seems like the reprogramming is the last piece that has me stumped as to why it will not take being I have tried it like 20 times with the same result.
