2012 Eco Boost Order

I'm new to the site so if this needs moved please do. But I ordered my 2012 Explorer Limited w/ Eco Boost about a week after they started taking "preorders" in May. Here we are about to September and I still haven't heard anything about my order. I see Cory should be able to help me out on checking on my order. But just wanted to see if anyone else is waiting this long. Really not seeing the point of getting my order in as soon as possible if I'm going to be waiting 6 months to get my vehicle.

Thanks for replying Cory to this and my PM. I replied back but thought I'd see if anyone on here has had this status on their Explorer. It in "In Order Processing"?

I guess I should have done the search before posting on here. I found an old post someone had about the status the car has while being built. Guess I need to find out if it is In Order Processing Scheduled or Unscheduled. I'm fearing it's the unscheduled.

Just got my VIN number from my dealer. Still a few weeks from when it is supposed to be built. But it's progress.

That’s awesome news, hardball24! It’s great that I can help make the wait easier. If it were me, I’d be constantly sitting on the edge of my seat. My explorer is in, earlier than what the ETA was. Helps that it had to travel less than 100 miles to get to my dealer. Hopefully will get to pick it up tonight. If not we will be getting it tomorrow.

I made an order of Ford Explorer Base model with Ecoboost FWD plus reverse sensors on 9/30 in Brossard (Montmorency Ford), Quebec, and I haven't got VIN yet. The dealer told me that I should be able to get it in 6-8 weeks, but it has been 4 weeks still without VIN, I am feeling really bad. This is my first Ford SUV. Does anyone have the same situation as me?

I ordered my Ex on 9/30 also. Dealer told me they would have the VIN number and expected delivery date by November 15th.
