Hi - i am fairly competent when it comes to repairs...but this one has me confused and dumbfounded!!! My running lights (rear) are out. I have checked all of the bulbs and do not know where to check next. I went to the local ford place and they told me they have never heard of this happening. They want me to put up $150 so they can check on it (even though they have no idea what is causing it). Does anyone know or have had this same experience? Help please!

Welcome to the forum. The first thing I would do is get a 12 volt test light & with the lights on, see if you have power at the tail light sockets.

One of mine went out on my 2011 Explorer. Manual stated that tail light is dealer only replacement. They have to replace the entire assembly which costs around $600.00. The LED cannot be changed. $600 for a tail light replacement? Aren't LEDs supposed to last forever?
