Quick background
Got my wife a 2014 Sport 3 months ago. I insisted on the Sport because I hate any underpowered vehicle. I didn't even test drive it (she did). I have only driven it a couple of times very recently, and this thing is a dog. It's the slowest thing I have ever owned. The tuned exhaust sounds like you are making a launch in a sports car, but when you look out the side window there are pedestrians passing you.
OK, I exaggerate somewhat obviously. Still, I think I read a claim of 5.7 second to 60mph and 1/4 mile time around 14.5. I haven't taken it to the track, but I can tell you, no way even if I drove it off of a cliff.
Are there any known issues that I am not the first to discover?
Thanks for your time.
Edit: I know all about turbos, the lag, etc. I have owned a few fast turbo vehicles going back to the Buick GN in 1987. Even my F350 diesel is twice as fast with a stock tune.
One other note. I hear absolutely no turbo whine. The exhaust is loud and I assumed that it just drowned out the turbo noise. But now I am thinking perhaps there isn't any because there is no boost going on. It sure doesn't feel like it if there is.
