73k 2014 Sport. Noticing slop in the drivetrain lately. If I hit the gas, there is sort of slack in the drivetrain - think of a chain on a bicycle that's too long. That slack is what I am talking about. Can hear and feel the engine and tranny engage when I take off while costing from, say, 10mph. Feels loose.

Also, when slowing from 60mph with moderate braking, I can feel the tranny down shift through the last two gears. A bit of a thump/shift you can feel.

I had two engine mounts replaced. Also, one front tranny mount. Better for a while. Unfortunately, now it is back.

Anyone else?

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? Have a 2014 Ford Explorer Sport - Ecoboost 3.5L - 95,500 miles that seems to be hesitating when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear.

Feels like there's a little hesitation when it shifts from 3rd to 4th (or 4th to 5th --- can't remember which one). But, it's only happening in the entire shift range from something like 3rd to 4th. Is there a known issue with this model after 90K+ miles. I don't think it's the torque converter as is only happens in 3rd to 4th shift. Can't be a coil pack or spark plug as it's clearly just 3rd to 4th shift.

Anyone know if this could be indicative of one of the bands needs to be re-adjusted. It's never had a tranny service and no CEL codes are being logged....no service engine soon code or light. Curious to know if this tranny may have known issues with solenoid pack, bands, servo pins, tranny computer, etc. when it has that many miles. Or what do you suggest if is seems to be just hesitation from 3rd to 4th gear?
