I searched the forums and did not find an answer to this specific issue.

As title says. I can only get heat to kick on when temp is set to high. When turning the temp back down, heat stays very hot. Ac does not also adjust, seems to only stay on low when originally placed on low. (adjusting temperature higher does not change the temp)

defrost works (when heat is on).

Temp is the same on both sides, passenger and driver.

fan speeds blow at correct different settings.

temp just gets stuck on very hot or very cold, no in between. Only way it changes is to kick the temp back to low/High to get ac/heat to switch back and forth.

the outside temp on cluster and sync are both correct.

What could this be?

thanks for any and all help!

I wonder if it might be the cabin temperature/humidity sensor. Just a guess. I'm not sure how you would test it.

I was thinking this also. Seems the part is inexpensive. Thank you for showing the location, I could not find. I will report back when I figure something out. Thanks!!

Hello. I just wanted to say thanks. I also had the same issue and this was my solution. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

I am dealing with the same issue with my 2015 Sport… how did you make out with the sensor replacement? Any tips on accessing the sensor (without ripping the dash apart 🤞)?

Perhaps another member will see this and be able to help. Good luck.
